KUCHING: Sarawak’s total COVID-19 cases have bumped up to 253,003 after 58 new cases were recorded on Sunday (Feb 6).
The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in its daily update, said three patients who need ventilator support are under category 5 while one patient who required oxygen is under category 4.
Aside from that, 39 cases are category 1 and 19 cases are category 2.
“Kuching tops the list with 21 cases, followed by Sibu with 14 cases, Miri (13), Kanowit (four), Lawas (three), and one each in Kapit, Selangau and Tatau.
“No new fatality or clusters were reported in the daily update,” the committee said.
In addition, there are 22 new persons under surveillance and 188 of them are currently quarantined at designated hotels.
SDMC also stated that the total number of persons under surveillance that have been discharged were 165,877.
In terms of non-compliance to the standard operating procedures (SOPs), Kuching police had issued a total of 10 compound notices to errant individuals.
All of them had failed to scan the MySejahtera before entering a premises, bringing the total number of compounds issued by Sarawak police to 13,167.
