SIBU: A long held dream of SJK (C) Kiang Hin at Teku here to have its own administrative block has come to fruition with its official opening recently.

The two-storey block which also houses eight classrooms was declared open by District Education Officer Ali Chikba accompanied by school board chairman Kapitan So Teck Kee.

Ali who credited the school board for its commitment to educational development over the years, said the school had progressed by leaps and bounds.

“I am also pleased that the school is very unique in that it consists of multi-racial pupils coming together in a conducive learning environment,” he said.

According to So, the school was poised to develop in tandem with development in Teku which has seen housing areas sprouting in recent years.

“The school holds a very bright future as it is also strategically located in the educational hub encompassing University of Technology Sarawak, Laila college and international school.
