TATAU: The Sangan Region Water Supply Project worth RM190 mln will benefit some 1,130 households.
According to a report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB) Sarawak held a dialogue session with community leaders at the Tatau District Office on Wednesday (Feb 9) to explain the Sangan Region Water Supply Project in Bintulu Division.
The project will benefit 1,130 households in the areas of Jalan Sangan to Muput and Jalan Tatau-Kelawit, encompassing Sangan Clinic, Sangan Agriculture Department, Sangan Town, SK Kuala Muput, SK Sangan Iban, SK Kelawit, and SK Bagiaw.
The project is currently in the process of site acquisition.
The session, which aimed to provide information regarding the implementation of rural water supply projects in Kakus constituency, was attended by Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department and Kakus assemblyman Datuk John Sikie Tayai.
After the briefing, Sikie along with JBALB officers moved to Sangan Tatau to survey the project site.
