MUKAH: Narcotics police arrested two jobless men on suspicion of being involved in substance abuse in Jalan Selangau-Sibu here on Thursday (Feb 10).

Mukah OCPD DSP Muhamad Rizal Alias said a raid was carried out around 2.30pm on one of the bilik (housing unit) of a longhouse.

The suspects, aged 22 and 36, were detained for inspection and three plastic packets containing crystalline lumps believed to be methamphetamine were found.

“The drugs weighing 0.66g with a street value of RM150, were seized as evidence.

“Both the suspects and drugs were brought to the police station for further action.”

The case is being investigated under Section 12 (2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
