KUCHING: A man was killed after he was hit by a car late Monday at Jalan Setia Raja here.
“The incident took place at around 7.30pm. The victim was walking when he was hit by the car.
“He suffered serious injuries to the head and was sent to Sarawak General Hospital.
“He was confirmed dead at around 4.30am while being treated at the hospital,” Kuching OCPD ACP Ahsmon Bajah said in a statement on Tuesday (Feb 15).
The identity of the victim is yet to be known as there were no documentations on him.
ACP Ahsmon said the driver of the car was apprehended and being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving.
