SIBU: The State BN has set a target of 29 seats in the coming 14th General Elcetion (GE14).
As such Minister of Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah called on the people, especially the members of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) and it’s Women Wing to work hard in ensuring that Barisan Nasional (BN) government can win big in GE14.
She said Sarawak BN could retain its 25 seats and wrest four more seats from the opposition.
“If we work hard and united among party members and with other BN component parties, we can win back the four seats and retain 25 others in the coming election,” she said.
Apart from that, she urged the members to work as a solid team and united to ensure BN could win big in the GE14.
Fatimah, who is PBB Women chief also stressed on the party’s drive to register more new members, maintain unity among party members and also with other BN component parties.
“We will strive towards the party’s drive to register more new members, in which such commitment is vital to ensure the survival of the party as members remain important assets to any particular party,” she said.
The minister said this when officiating at PBB’s Women Wing’s ‘Go To The Ground Programme’ at Tanahmas Hotel in Sibu yesterday.
According to her, PBB Women will work hard to ensure that PBB remains strong and relevant and at the same time maintaining unity within the main body, its branches and sub-branches.
