“When he was our party president, I was a member of the Batu Kawa branch. Datuk Patinggi Wong was a no-nonsense and disciplined leader. He also made sure SUPP played an inclusive role in the Barisan Nasional (BN) decision-making. He was really a gentleman to the end. Even towards the end, he was loyal to the party and hoped that we will do well. He had met with our party leader, Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian and us many times in his residence and offered many good advice and moral support,” Lo said.
