KUCHING: Sarawak recorded 441 new COVID-19 cases today, a notable increase of over 60 percent as compared to Sunday’s 294 cases.
The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in its daily COVID-19 update said 438 of the new cases were categories 1 and 2, while three cases fell into category 3.
“Kuching registered the highest daily case with 132, followed by Miri with 111 and Sibu with 104 cases,” it said on Tuesday (Feb 22).
SDMC said no death case was registered on Tuesday.
It added that there were also no new clusters detected in the state.
“The number of clusters in Sarawak remains at only two with no new additional cases reported in the existing clusters,” it said.
