MIRI: A 35-year-old woman and her boyfriend have been charged with murdering her husband whose body was found next to a wooden hut on Feb 23.
Both accused nodded they understood the charge read to them before Magistrate Leona Dominic Mojiliu on Monday (March 7).
She fixed April 25 this year for mention of the case after allowing an application by senior investigation officer ASP Joyce Sagai as the prosecution was awaiting a post-mortem report and a report from the Chemistry Department.
Diana Jangak, and Tony Iri stand accused of murdering Linggi Tedong, 38, in an oil palm plantation at Paroh, Suai Niah on Feb 22 this year.
They were detained by police the next day following the discovery of the body.
They were charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code read together Section 34, which carries the death penalty on conviction.
