MIRI: The new Shell Malaysia Upstream main office will be located at Miri Times Square.
This was revealed by country chairman of Shell Companies in Malaysia and senior vice-president of Malaysia Upstream, Ivan Tan, who added that Shell would be the anchor tenant in the new building, which would be ready for occupancy by end of 2023.
“We hope that the new office space will generate excitement, promote collaboration and build a community among all of our teams,” he said on Tuesday (March 8).
He stated that the building would be a new landmark here, with sustainable features, including high energy efficiency, solar panels and EV charging points, as well as great view of the South China Sea and Miri Oil Well No. 1 at Canada Hill.
Meanwhile, Mayor Adam Yii Siew Sang described the announcement as excellent news.
“Thank you, Shell. Together we build a better Miri. As a smart, green and most livable resort city,” he said in a Facebook post on Tuesday.
