KUCHING: Sarawak Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah has been tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday.
Karim has confirmed he had contracted the virus when contacted today, however, he was doing fine.
“Yes, I got the virus but nothing to worry about. It is like a common flu with a sore throat. I am perfectly okay already after (tested positive) three days,” he told New Sarawak Tribune.
“Thank you for your concern,” he added.
Yesterday, the Sarawak Premier’s Office in a statement confirmed that Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg had tested positive for the virus with mild symptoms since Monday.
The statement also said Abang Johari was currently undergoing home quarantine for five days after contracting the COVID-19.
