KUCHING: A Rafflesia Tuan Mudae was spotted blooming at the Gunung Gading National Park on March 7.
Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) on its social media page stated that the world’s largest flower is expected to blossom until March 11.
The five-petal flower measures 56 centimeters in diameter.
“Visitors who wish to see the Rafflesia must first register themselves with the national park management. They must be accompanied by a park guide before they can walk to the plant’s location,” it said.
SFC reminded that all visitors must always adhere to the national park’s standard operating procedures (SOPs) while enjoying the beauty of the national park and the flower’s beauty.
