KUCHING: The Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Entrepreneur Development is currently gathering data on youth entrepreneurs in Sarawak.
Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah stated that this is being done through various engagements such as the townhall session.
“We are going to different districts and divisions for youth entrepreneur programmes where we would gather their information such as background.
“From this, we will be able to better manage and organise future programmes,” he said this during a press conference after officiating at a Youth Entrepreneur Setup & Financing programme at Dewan Suarah here on Saturday.
He said the data collection was part of the efforts to expand and improve the ministry’s entrepreneur development portfolio given that it was relatively new.
At the same time, he pointed out that the ministry was working closely with youth non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and clubs, adding that continuous efforts and initiatives would conducted to reach out to the youth throughout Sarawak.
