KUCHING: Civil servants in Sarawak will receive a one-off RM500 special assistance in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Gawai Dayak.

The Office of the Premier of Sarawak (OPS) said in a statement yesterday (Apr 6) that the special assistance would be paid this month, before the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Gawai Dayak celebrations.

“This special grant is to appreciate the sacrifices and services of Sarawak civil servants in shouldering the responsibility of delivering their services to the people, especially in this challenging period that we are all facing.

“The Sarawak government also hopes that this provision of Aidilfitri and Gawai special assistance will be able to ease the financial burden of civil servants as well as an incentive for them to continue to serve with full dedication,” said OPS.
