KUCHING: Sarawak Biodiversity Centre (SBC) is organising SBC Biodiversity Day 2022 in conjunction with the International Day for Biological Diversity.
“We are more than excited to announce that this year we will be celebrating it physically on May 21 at SBC,” it said yesterday.
The SBC Biodiversity Day is an annual event held in conjunction with the International Day for Biological Diversity which falls on May 22.
“The theme for this year is ‘Building a share future for all life’. The slogan was chosen to continue building momentum and support for the post 2020 global biodiversity framework to be adopted at the upcoming United Nations (UN) Biodiversity Conference,” it added.
The centre stated that the SBC Biodiversity Day was open to the public, school students, universities and research institutes.
The event will be held at KM20 Jalan Borneo Heights, Semenggoh 93250 Kuching from 9 am to 5 pm and admission is free.
Among the activities are science games exhibition, traditional knowledge showcase, guided jungle trekking, public awareness webinars and more.
