MIRI: Thirteen non-government organisations (NGOs) and clubs in the Pujut constituency here received annual allocations for minor rural projects (MRPs) worth a total of RM43,000.
According to the statement by Unit Komunikasi Awam Sarawak (UKAS), the said allocation was handed over by Pujut assemblyman Adam Yii Siew Sang at Pujut Service Centre on Saturday (Apr 23).
“I hope that every NGO and club receiving this allocation will spend it wisely for community activities that will definitely benefit the community as a whole,” Yii said in the statement.
Among the NGOs and clubs that received the allocation were Miri Amateur Radio Club; Miri Dusum Khyenpa Kagyud Dharma Society; Miri Photographic Society; Malaysian Ex -Police Association; Miri Chawan Association; Sarawak Welfare Association R5 IPCK Members; Miri Amanah Charity Welfare Association; Religion Buddha Shui Kou Ting; Miri Fraternity Association, MOUGA Golf Club; Miri San Tai Zi Cultural Association; Long Seridan Women Telang Usan Miri; and Miri PPD Education Colloquium.
