KUCHING: Seventeen mosques and 13 surau in the Santubong parliamentary constituency received donations from MP Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar.
According to a Sarawak Public Communications Unit report, the handover of a cheque amounting to RM77,000 was done on Sunday (April 24) by Datuk Seri Syed Hamzah Syed Paie, the political secretary to Wan Junaidi, who is also Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Parliament and Law).
Ukas also said he handed over funds amounting to RM100,000 to upgrade Masjid Darul Asyiqin, Kampung Sungai Lumut.
In the same ceremony, a total of 80 people comprising the needy and senior citizens received donations as well.
