LIMBANG: A total of 100 needy people received food aid during the Ziarah Ukas programme in conjunction with Ramadan.
According to a statement, the aid was presented by Batu Danau assemblyman Paulus Palu Gumbang at Surau Nur Raudah Kampung Buluh Balui last Sunday (April 24).
“The government is always concerned and strives to assist the needy regardless of race, religion, status and political affiliation.
“This can be seen through the organisation of programmes and assistance channelled to the local community,” he said.
At the same time, he also called on the local community to continue to adhere to standard operating procedures, especially during the upcoming Hari Raya celebration.
There was also a symbolic handover of breaking of fast food to the recipients at Surau Nurul Fallah.
After the handover, Paulus surveyed the surau to see if anything needed to be upgraded.
