KUCHING: The Sarawak Road Safety Council is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Transport (MOT) effective yesterday.
“The road and safety council was formerly under the jurisdiction Deputy Sarawak Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah”, said a statement.
According to the statement, Minister of Infrastructure and Port Development (MIPD) Uggah handed over the council to the Minister of Transport, Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin after a meeting held at his office.
Also present during the hand over were Deputy Minister of Transport, Datuk Dr Jerip Susil, Deputy Minister of MIPD, Aidel Lariwoo, Permanent Secretaries to MIPD, Datuk Safri Zainudin and Permanent Secretaries to MOT, Datuk Buckland Bangik.
