KUCHING: Sarawak DAP Chairman Chong Chieng Jen yesterday handed over a special grant to Malaysia Dynamic Community Association.
The fund is meant to assist them in holding an education fair.
Malaysia Dynamic Community Association is a non-government organisation (NGO) that needs funding to organise various activities to benefit the community.
The education fair will be held on Sunday (June 26) at Boulevard Shopping Mall, Kuching.
According to Chong, the education fair is held in conjunction with the release of Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) results at the end of June, which could help students choose their further education pathway.
He added that 16 higher education institutions and Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN) will set up consultation booths at the venue to assist students in understanding the course details and other further education pathway related topics.
Chong also called on to all SPM graduates and those who are seeking higher education courses to visit the education fair.
