BAU: A man and a woman were detained by police on Wednesday for taking drugs at Kampung Skiat.
Bau OCPD DSP Poge Nyaon said in a statement today that a team from the contingent’s Narcotic Criminal Investigation Division (NCID) conducted the operation at the village.
“Both the man and the woman had admitted that they were taking drugs before the team arrived at the house. Although no drugs were found in the house, both suspects tested positive for drugs,” said Poge
Initial investigation found that the man had been abusing drugs since last year while the woman was taking drugs from him.
Poge added that the male suspect had past criminal records. Both suspects have been detained for further investigation.
The case is being investigated under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952.
