SERIAN: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Kedup branch held a meeting with its committee members at the Dewan Ranchan here recently to discuss among others, preparations for next week’s PBB Triennial General Meeting (TGM).
The meeting, chaired by its branch chief Martin Ben, who is also the Deputy Minister of Modernisation of Agriculture and Regional Development II, also discussed the proposed establishment of PBB Management Committee to manage the party’s activities.
The management committee will ensure that matters related to the party’s constitution are complied with at the branch and sub-branch levels, the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) said in a report.
Also present were branch deputy chief Ripin Daoh, secretary Thedius Kiek, women chief Katleen Duri Limin and youth chief Donald Belayong.
Meanwhile, the PBB TGM on June 16 to 19 to be officiated by party president Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg is expected to amend the party’s constitution to set up a new youth wing to enable those aged 18 to 28 to be party members.
