KUCHING: Gaming company Magnum has reached out to help a Serian resident cope with expenses in light of his impairment
It donated a sum of RM1,500 through its Community Support Programme in the hope that it would alleviate his burden.
The recipient, disabled after suffering from seizures, had applied for assistance from the company.
Senior Account Officer of Magnum ENE East Malaysia, Gerald Ong met with one Petronilla, who represented her brother, at the Magnum office to receive the financial assistance.
Regional Operations Manager of Magnum, Liew Kee Chuan said the Sarawak office has similarly assisted more than 200 people since the programme’s inception in 2009.
“As a nationwide year-long programme, more than RM 150,000 will be contributed in donations to the local community every year, to help underprivileged groups with their medical expenses as well in improving their well-being,” he added.
