KUCHING: The sales of petrol and diesel for public use in Kapit are expected to be back to normalcy starting tomorrow.
Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said that the supply, consisting of 10,000 litres of RON95 petrol and 6,000 litres of diesel, had arrived at 3.30pm in the afternoon.
“This is an immediate delivery to solve this supply problem thus refuting the allegations by some parties that the shortage issue was done intentionally,” he said in a Facebook post on the same day.
He went on to say that the shortage of fuel supply in Kapit was due to a slight disruption to the delivery schedule.
“It is understood that the problem has been resolved and supply of RON95 petrol and diesel will be delivered according to normal schedule starting today with the capacity of 125,000 liters to accommodate public use which is usually sufficient for a period of three days,” said Nanta, who is also the Kapit MP.
