KUALA LUMPUR: The Faculty of Design & Built Environment (FDBE) of First City University College (First City UC) staged SEQUENCE 2022 once again after a two-year hiatus.
SEQUENCE, a graduation showcase, was on virtual mode the last two years because of the pandemic.
SEQUENCE 2022 showcased 60 projects, comprising 36 projects in Interior Architecture & Design, 18 projects in Graphic Design, five projects in Furniture & Product Design and one in Fashion Marketing.
Datuk Satinah Syed Saleh, President of the Malaysian Association for Education and former Council Member of National Education Advisory Council (2018 -2020) was at 1 Utama Shopping Centre on July 1 to officiate at the opening ceremony of the grand showcase.
Also present at the event were First City UC Director, Tan Sri Dato’ (Dr) Teo Chiang Liang, First City UC Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dr Saw Sor Heoh and FDBE Acting Dean, Assistant Prof Chua Huwi Huwi.
Prof Dr Saw was full of praise for the efforts of all the staff and students of FDBE for organising SEQUENCE 2022 which is now in its 20th edition.
‘I am fully convinced SEQUENCE 2022 is going to be another major success to be added to your already many milestones,” she said.
“This is definitely a brilliant tradition, and it goes a long way in promoting the quality education agenda, that we have all been aggressively promoting at the Malaysian Association for Education (MAE), as well as in the country.”
There was a fashion show staged by students from the Fashion Marketing programme.
