MIRI: A 46-year-old woman lodged a police report on Tuesday (July 5) after her money amounting to RM4,950 got stuck inside a cash deposit machine.
According to the complainant, the incident occurred at a bank in Jalan Miri-Pujut here on June 12.
“What worries me is that, after depositing the cash into the account belonging to my husband, no receipt was given by the machine,” she said.
On that day, around 1.10pm, she was supposed to deposit cash totalling RM9,900.
“The first transaction amounting to RM4,950 went well, however, in the second transaction, the cash got stuck after the machine suddenly went offline.
“I waited for about 15 minutes in case the machine went online but it did not. My money got stuck inside the machine and no receipt was given.”
She and her husband had informed the bank of the incident on the same day. She had called up the bank informing them of her situation but had yet to receive any feedback
