KUCHING: Minister for Transport Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin yesterday received a courtesy call by the new Consul General of the People’s Republic of China Xing WeiPing at his office in Bangunan Baitulmakmur, Petra Jaya.
In addition to discussing the potential for cooperation, including the sharing of technology and knowledge, in the transportation sector between Sarawak and China, Lee introduced the role of the Ministry of Transport Sarawak and ongoing projects utilising Chinese technology, such as the Hydrogen bus and Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART).
Xing was also welcomed by the ministry’s permanent secretary Datuk Buckland Bangik, and its transport advisor Dr Lawrence Tseu.
