KUCHING: Yayasan Perpaduan Sarawak (YPS) is calling for participation from Bau and Kota Samarahan for their advancing racial cohesion and harmony (ARCH) unity lab.
The one-day ARCH workshop for Bau and Kota Samarahan hosted by YPS will be held on July 25 at Pullman Hotel Kuching, whereby the public from targeted areas are invited to sign up.
The ARCH project aims to understand and assess how Sarawakians view unity, racial relations among various ethnic groups, and national integration from a local perspective, as well as to frame it from a larger tier of the national level.
“The concept developed after the National Unity Blueprint 2021–2030 was introduced.
“Its goals include understanding the unity concept in Malaysia, developing a clear vision of what unity should look like in ten years, and outlining tactical changes and targeted initiatives to achieve the desired aspirations of unity,” YPS said via a press release.
Workshops were successfully held in the past two months in Limbang, Miri, Bintulu, Mukah, Sibu, and Kapit, with nearly 200 participants enrolling in this lab. Kota Samarahan, Bau, and Kuching will host the subsequent round of workshops.Yay
asan Perpaduan Sarawak encourages government officers, community leaders, representatives of youth associations, members of non-governmental organisations, and members of the general public to sign up for the upcoming unity lab workshop.
“Participation is free and you will receive certificates for attending the unity lab workshop,” said the press release.
The date for the Kuching session will be announced at a later date and the general public can contact Ringkai Jewel at 082-332 700 or 019 663 5594 for further information on ARCH unity lab.
