KUCHING: Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) is committed to helping produce human capital that meets the needs of industry with the provision of educational opportunities in its 344 institutions.
Deputy Rural Development Minister Datuk Hasbi Habibollah said the institutions offer education from certificate to PhD level in both professional and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
According to Hasbi, the Institut Pendidikan MARA Carnival in Sarawak therefore acts as a platform for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) Sijil Pelajaran Tinggi Malaysia (STPM) 2021 graduates to identify opportunities to further their studies.
“That is why we emphasised the concept of 4P – penerangan (information), permohonan (application), penawaran (offer) and penajaan (sponsorship).
“Therefore, I call on students, especially those in Sarawak, to seize the opportunity to get as much information as possible about educational pathways and facilities provided by MARA so that more Sarawakians can improve their academic level and at the same time be able to contribute to the socio-economic changes of the family in the future, ” he told a press conference after the IPMA 2022 Carnival walkabout session at Plaza Merdeka, today.
In the same programme, Hasbi also presented certificates of appreciation to 24 exhibitors involved in the IPMA 2022 Carnival, certificates of appreciation of excellence to several students of MARA Junior Science College (MRSM) in Sarawak who achieved excellent results in SPM 2021 and appreciation to IPMA for its outstanding achievements as a prestigious educational institution in the state.
Apart from that, he also presented Yayasan Pelajaran MARA (YPM) School Assistance to 30 B40 students as well as Subsistence Cash Assistance to 10 asnaf contributed by Rural Capital Berhad.
