KUCHING: A collision between a compact vehicle and a trailer lorry caused injuries to three victims in the early hours today.
The State Fire and Rescue Operation Centre (Bomba) said it received an emergency call at 1.34am on the incident, which occurred at Datuk Stephen Yong Link, Batu Kawa.
“A compact vehicle and a lorry trailer were involved in a collision, in front of a petrol station along the road.
“Three victims from the compact vehicle sustained injuries. The victims were extracted from the vehicle by the public before emergency services arrived,” it said.
Firemen from Batu Lintang station as well as ambulances arrived at the scene and immediately to rescue the injured victims. The victims were transported to the hospital by the ambulances.
“No rescue operations were commenced. Firemen on scene conducted a clean-up operation of the accident to clear out the debris on the road.
“Once the clean-up work was done, firemen returned to the station,” it said.
