SRI AMAN: The 25 families of Rumah Langau and Rumah Johned, Jungkong Panjang, here which were destroyed by fire on 23 March continued to get the sympathy of various quarters here. This was proven when Malaysian Red Cresent Sri Aman Chapter (MRC Sri Aman) came to donate food items and used clothings to the affected families yesterday.
The donated i tems wer e handed over by chai rman of MRC Sri Aman, Mas Mashore Haji Maslem and treasurer, Tay Soon Seng. “MRC Sri Aman is donating food items comprising rice, instant noodles and mineral water bottles to lighten the burden of the fire victims.
“Hence, I appeal to non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and individuals to donate to the fire vicitms.
“I also urged youths here to join MRC Sri Aman so that they can help victims of disasters. ‘The youths’ participation in voluntary activities can indirectly prevent them from getting invovled in undesirable activities,” Mashore said.
