KUCHING: Lions Club is collaborating with Kuching Association of Talent Development and Welfare of Special Needs (KATSN) and Divine Will Society to organise an art gallery by children of special needs.

According to a statement, the art gallery will display artworks and paintings by children of special needs at Aeon Mall for two months until the end of September.

In addition, seven special needs artists will be displaying their various masterpieces. The public are encouraged to visit the gallery and support the artists.

The opening was held on Thursday (Aug 11) by Lions district governor Kapitan Connie Loh, together with David Chiew, president of Sarawak Artists Society; Sih Hua Tong, Commission member of DBKU; Anthony Bong, chairman of Divine Will Society; Datuk Sim Kiang Chiok, trustee of Divine Will Society; Joseph Tang, Lions Clubs chairman of Kuching One Earth, and Lim May Yek, chairman of KATSN.

Loh (third from left) supported the event by purchasing the “Springflowers” painted by artist Alister Sim (second from left). Also seen are Sim, Tang (right) and Datin Diana Sim (left).
