KUCHING: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was inked between YAST Group and ACE Entrepreneurs Association, Sin Chew Daily and LEAVES Food Industries Sdn Bhd for the 25th Miss Tourism International World Final 2022/2023.
Minster for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts, Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah said the pageant would help boost Sarawak’s presence in international tourism.
“The pageant will bring more synergy to the tourism sector here and with the signing ceremony today, we can expect more excitement to the event,” he said – his speech was read by the ministry’s permanent secretary, Hii Chang Kee, who attended the MoU signing on Monday (Aug 22).
Meanwhile, YAST Group founder Esther Law Lee Poh said beauty queens from 60 countries would be participating, and they would be treated to a series of activities during their stay here.
The beauty pageant is from Nov 11-27.
