KUCHING: The Teresang Dayak Malaysia asked the next generation to instill a strong spirit of unity among all ethnicities through the Independence Day Parade, which would be held this Wednesday (Aug 31) by Terabai Dayak Labung Mansau.
The parade, which will take place in Bintangor, Sarikei on Malaysia’s Independence Day, intends to demonstrate patriotic spirit and reflect solidarity among Dayak NGOs throughout Malaysia by donning traditional clothing and performing kuntau, ngajat gendang pampat, and other traditional customs.
Teresang Dayak Malaysia’s founder Ugik Jalit invites members from each district, including Miri, Batu Niah, Bintulu, Sibu, Julau, Kanowit, Kuching, Sri Aman, and Limbang, to attend and participate in order to make the event a great success.
On August 30, their convoy will leave Miri in a car convoy and will meet participants from Bintulu who will join the next convoy to Sibu, Sarikei, and Bintangor.
This programme is also intended to benefit the NGOs participating by strengthening their friendship.
