KUCHING: The Islamic Information Centre (IIC) has organised the women’s edition of public lecture titled ‘Serikandi Syurga, Dimanakah Kita?’
The public lecture was held at Hikmah Hall at Petra Jaya, beginning at 9am yesterday.
Professor Datuk Dr Mohd Izhar Ariff Mohd Kashim who is the deputy dean (Connection and Alumni) Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia was invited to share his opinion and perspective on the topic.
The topic that was conveyed was on the issue of career-women and how would they handle and overcome some of the issues that they had faced.
As many as 500 participants who attended the lecture consisted of government officers, those from corporate association, Islamic NGO, and the institution of higher learning.
The IIC-MIS public lecture programme was one of the few platforms that was being used to distribute information for a better understanding on current issues that would give effects and concerns towards the community.
