KUCHING: Sri Aman Hospital 2 is now open to serve local residents and people from the surrounding districts.
The new 108-bed hospital which opened its doors on Sept 1 offers seven medical specialties, including general medicine, paediatrics and general surgery.
Apart from that, the hospital also offers services in obstetrics and gynaecology (O&G), orthopaedics, radiology, and anaesthesiology.
State Health Department director, Dr Ooi Choo Huck in a statement on today said the previous Sri Aman Hospital meanwhile will continue to provide psychiatry specialist services.
“The operation of Sri Aman Hospital 2 will provide comprehensive health benefits and facilities to the people of Sri Aman Division and the surrounding areas,” he said.
Approved in 2007, the construction of the new RM200 million hospital was long delayed before it commenced in 2016.
