BINTULU: A lorry transporting cooking oil, was completely destroyed in a midnight fire at Jalan Bintulu-Tatau today.
A spokesman from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firemen from Tatau station were despatched to the scene, about 24 km from the station, after receiving an emergency call around 12.40am.
Firemen from Bintulu station were also deployed to the scene and found the flames still raging.
Although the lorry was beyond saving they promptly put out the fire.
No injuries were reported during the incident and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
