MetMalaysia warns of continuous rain in Sarawak

KUCHING: Sarawak is expected to experience continuous rain in several parts of the state.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) said among the areas that could be affected are Bintulu, Subis, Beluru, Miri. Marudi and Limbang and is expected to last from today (Oct 17) until tomorrow.

The bad weather is also expected to spread to Labuan and the interiors of Sabah including Sipitang, Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Keningau and Tambunan as well as areas in the west coast and Kudat.

A continuous rain warning (alert) is issued when rain and thunderstorms are occurring or are projected to occur in an area for more than six hours.

The public is advised to always refer to the website, www.met.gov.my and all social media as well as to download the myCuaca application for the latest and authentic information.
