KUCHING: Kuching City FC have set their sights to reach the quarter-finals of the upcoming Malaysia Cup 2022.

Head coach Irfan Bakti Abu Salim said his team will give their best to qualify for the quarter-finals despite having the odds against them.

“I believe all of the teams, including ours, have equal chances when it comes to a knockout competition.

“Our current target is to try our best to qualify for the quarterfinals and for that to happen, all of our players have to show the desire and commitment in order to achieve that goal,” Irfan told New Sarawak Tribune and its sister paper Suara Sarawak Arena.

He said that his players need to be laser-focused in order to do well.

“We have to do well in the first match away from home and the same goes for the match in front of our home fans which we should take advantage of.
