SRI AMAN: Cassidy Morris is now the new Sarawak Public Works Department (PWD) Central Region Manager.
Prior to his promotion, Cassidy served as Sri Aman PWD divisional engineer for five years and seven months.
Speaking to the media after handing over his duties to his successor, Bujang Kanang here on Wednesday, Cassidy said the infrastructure development gap in the district has already been narrowed.
He said although the development gap had been narrowed within the past few years, there were still many projects that needed to be implemented.
“A lot of projects have been successfully implemented and they give positive impact on the people. Among the projects implemented throughout my tenure here included constructing Jalan Ulu Skrang and upgrading the Bayai Water Treatment Plant in Lubok Antu,” he said
He hoped more development projects in Sri Aman particularly in Lubok Antu would be approved as roads and other facilities are still needed to be upgraded.
