KUCHING: Two new faces out of nine were sworn in as political secretaries to the Premier of Sarawak in a ceremony held at Wisma Bapa Malaysia earlier today.
Two of the new appointments are Sam Laya of Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) and Abang Abdul Aziz Abang Draup of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB).
Seven others reappointed yesterday were Petrus Igat Mathias, Michael Mujah Lihan, Charles Balan Seling, Tapah Ata, Buang Bolhassan and John Nyigor of PBB, along with Fung Kok Shiun @ Brian Fung of PDP.
The swearing-in ceremony was witnessed by Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.
Among those present were State Legislative Assembly (DUN) speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nasar, interim Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi, Public Health and Housing Deputy Minister Datuk Dr Penguang Manggil, Labour, Immigration and Project Monitoring Deputy Minister Datuk Gerawat Gala, Infrastructure Development Deputy Minister Ir Aidel Lariwoo and chief political secretary to Premier of Sarawak Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman.
