KUCHING: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg receives a courtesy call from State Election Commission (EC) director Abang Noraffian Abang Ibrahim.
According to a statement by Sarawak Information Department (JAPEN), Abang Noraffian’s visit to the Premier was his first since his appointment as the EC director in September last year.
The courtesy call on Abang Johari was made at Wisma Bapa Malaysia, Petra Jaya here yesterday.
When met by the media, Abang Noraffian said the courtesy call was made to introduce himself to the Premier as the new State EC director.
He added that preparations for the coming 15th general election had been made.
However, he said an official announcement on the matter would be made by the headquarters of the EC Malaysia.
