KUCHING: A mother of seven has approached Hope Place recently, requesting for assistance in the form of household items.
At present, Nurr Rafidahi Ahim, 43, stays with her husband and seven children, aged between 4 to 18, at Taman Sukma.
According to a statement issued by Hope Place, she has six schooling children including her 14-year-old nephew, whom she took under her wings after he ran away from home three years ago.
Her eldest son has just finished his Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and is now trying to find a stable job.
With so many children to feed, her husband, whose job is a daily paid construction labourer, is struggling to provide for everyone.
Hope Place is providing the family with some basic food aid, milk powder and school supplies for the children.
The NGO’s main concern and focus is helping these schooling children get all the assistance they need.
Nurr Rafidahi also mentioned that she got a job recently and might start this month.
