LAWAS: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) chairman Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Abang Openg has denied allegations that his party had reached an agreement to help Barisan Nasional (BN) form a government after the 15th General Election (GE15).
Abang Johari said he was unaware of any joint agreement between GPS and BN to form a government as stated by UMNO Secretary General Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan.
“I don’t know anything about that, I also just read it (the news report),” he said.
He said this when met by the media after officiating the SarawakKu Sayang Programme in Long Tuma, here today (Nov 8).
The Premier also did not divulge further on the matter, describing it as “nothing”.
“I don’t want to comment because it’s nothing, I don’t know anything about it,” he said.
He said this when asked to comment on Ahmad’s statement that BN is confident that the coalition can form a stable government after GE15 with the support of GPS.
Ahmad claimed that the matter had been agreed upon in a meeting between the leaders of the two coalitions before.
