KUCHING: Three days before the s tar t of the Kuching Festival, Mayor of Kuching City South Council (MBKS), Dato James Chan went for an inspection round at the festival site here on Wednesday night.
He wanted to make sure that everything was going according to schedule and that safety measures have been taken to ensure that there would be no untoward incidents throughout the duration of the festival.
The highly-anticipated Kuching Festival is held annually as part of the city’s plan to boost local tourism and food industry as it is known to attract thousands of locals and visitors.
Visitors to the festival can enjoy a number of activities such as games, performances, and the main attraction – a wide variety of food for sale. The Kuching Festival will be held in the compound of MBKS Bui lding, Jalan Padungan here from 27 July to 19 August.
