MIRI: A 72 year-old man died after he was stung by a swarm of wasp near Jalan Bulatan here today (Nov 26).
According to Acting chief Miri Fire and Rescue department (Bomba) Ahmad Nizam Sapaiee, the man passed out after he was attacked while strolling along the area.
“Before he passed out, the man managed to press the panic button of a nearby smart pole,” Nizam disclosed.
He was pronounced dead by the paramedics from Miri Hospital.
Ahmad said they received an emergency call on the incident at 2.23pm.
Another man was also injured as he tried to help the victim.
