SARIKEI: The main road from Sungai Buloh, Bintangor to the Sungai Selidap Sarikei Bridge will have street lights installed for the safety of road users.

According to a report from the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS), Meradong assemblyman Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing who visited the work site said the installation started yesterday.

The installation is expected to be completed within three weeks before the Chinese New Year celebration next year.

In this regard, Ding expressed his appreciation to the Sarawak government for approving the application fund to install 75 street lights that cost amounting to RM277,418.50.
