SERIAN: Nine people, including five children, were evacuated from their homes as the water level rose here.
The rising water affected two homes in Kampung Melayu Balai Ringin in Balai Ringin.
At 12pm, Friday (Dec 16), the Civil Defence Force (APM) suggested that the residents evacuate their homes.
Water has risen to around two to three feet, and the residents of the two homes were moved to Dewan Kampung Melayu Balai Ringin temporarily.
The nine people comprised two men, two women, two boys and three girls.
Police, Social Welfare Department officers and firefighters were also present to assist with the evacuation.
