MIRI: A total of 327 food and beverage stalls will be set up for the Chinese New Year Miri Bazaar 2023 along the Jalan Kingsway and Jalan Cina after an almost two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Tuesday night, deco lighting up ceremony was performed by Miri Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Present during the event were organising co-chairman Vincent Lu, Miri Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry chairman Ling Chiong Sing, community leaders and committee members.
Minister of Transport Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin will officiate at the opening of the bazaar which will be held on Jan 15 (Sunday) at 8 pm while the closing ceremony will be officiated by Miri Mayor Adam Yii on Jan 20.
Temporary road closure has been imposed in front of the shoplot along the road starting from today (Jan 11) until Jan 21.
Meanwhile, the road from Pelita Tunku toward Yulan Plaza and vice versa will be closed from Jan 14 to Jan 20 (6 pm to 12 am).
