KUCHING: Some 202 Kuching district police officers received their second COVID-19 vaccine booster dose at the Kuching IPK today (Jan 27).

District police chief ACP Ahsmon Bajah said as an enforcement agency the force fully supports the government’s initiative to curb and control the spread of the virus.

“As frontliners, it is important for the police to be protected. The 202 officers comprise police officers from different ranks and staff from the district headquarters and police stations who will receive their booster shots today,” he told reporters at the Kuching police headquarters.

He thanked the Ministry of Health (MoH) for the booster programme, which was held for the first time at the police headquarters.

Ashmon added that more similar programmes are expected to be held in other police districts soon.

The COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Dose Programme will be held until 4 pm at the Kuching IPK.

Also present was Dr Rhohasnida Amika, medical officer from Tanah Puteh Health Clinic.
